We work on clinical trials, conducting scientific studies in which new treatments (drugs, procedures, diagnoses and other therapies) are tested on patients/trial participants to determine if they are safe and effective. These tests are all approved by IRBs and help scientists answer essential questions about new therapies: What diseases are the are treatments for?What doses are most effective? What kind of patients can benefit from them? Most drugs in use are currently tested and made available to patients through clinical trials.
